About the project

Migrants, especially migrant women, experience higher unemployment and under-employed rates in EU countries than their native citizens (OECD 2013). Within this scenario, bolstering business creation among migrants, particularly among migrant women, is a key strategy to allow individual migrants to reach their full potential, while simultaneously improving labour market integration and fostering the creation of added value, innovation and productivity in their host countries.

Online Training for Soft skills in Entrepreneurship

The training online is a set of units aiming at “taking out” competences from participants and trainers, enabling them to use their personal attitudes to build a personal approach to migrant women education, exploiting a mentoring and coaching process that are made available by the project and the channels of the community.

Action Learning and Coaching

Leading your own business can be a daunting task. This first session will therefore be all about exploring your strengths via a unique group mentoring process that brings together skilled facilitation using action learning techniques, coaching and mentoring, combined with career development and self-reflection tools. Instead of trying to put into written words what action learning is exactly, we thought we’d let the School for Social Entrepreneurs lend us a helping hand.

Communication, Networking, Daily Problem-Solving

Problem solving, networking and communication all work together and benefit from each other. Communication and networking are necessary for solving problems, and problem-solving is often needed to enable smooth communication and networking. At the core of the process is a human being, a human interaction, an actor and whose needs are met.

Creativity and Fun for developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset & Business Modelling as a Game

This Unit will introduce you to CREATIVITY. We will look at creative and constructive thinking frameworks and models which will help you to explore possibilities and generate multiple options, problem definitions and solutions.

Entrepreneurship Education for Migrant Women, Resilience and Entrepreneurship

In this Unit, we will continue our focus on personal and business branding, and learn more about your business and marketing perception. The Unit as a whole is therefore designed to give you a new and fresh business perspective, visualising what you have been working on for the past few days/weeks/months/years.

Intercultural barriers to access market, learning from the hosting culture and how to adapt it

This Unit will introduce you to INTERCULTURAL BARRIERS to access markets. Each culture has its own peculiarities, approaches and practices, and it might take time to learn how to approach potential clients and target groups in the hosting country.

Progress and Reflection

The final session of the Kaleidoscope Training Programme will take inspiration from the Mentoring Circles™ methodology as developed by Inova Consultancy. You will be presented with a summary of all learning material, and you will create a Strengths Collage in which you can creatively visualise your learning path and future goals. The majority of the session will be devoted to presenting, listening and giving feedback.
